In a time before the invention of automobiles or the creation of electricity, Muslims ruled the world. Their religion spread as fast as a wild fire across the Middle East, penetrating into North Africa, modern-day Spain, India, and beyond. This Islamic flame diffused through conquest and trade across the ancient land, leaving its mark on the earth and the people it chanced upon. The paramount of its reign lasted approximately between the eighth and the eleventh centuries with the help of the Abbasids. This was known as the Golden Age of Islam.
